Colin Towns' new six piece band perform tracks from their debut album Stand Well Back. Colin Towns leads on keyboards with specially selected the band members from across the UK and Europe, featuring Mark Lockheart (tenor), Chris Montague (guitar), Benny Greb (drums), Stephan Maass (percussion), and Edward Maclean (bass) and performing Towns' new compositions. Blue Touch Paper has no barriers, "...rarely does a piece of music demolish the well known conceptions of sound and structure". Jazz, rock, film, classical, electronic etc. - it's all of these but none of these. Leave your expectations behind - this is not a predictable band!

"Attention grabbing combination of jazz language and rock edge…Stand Well Back is one of 2011's biggest (and most pleasant) surprises" - All About Jazz
"Powerful fusion jazz...one would urgently like to hear the band live" - Financial Times (Germany) 'Jazz CD of the Week'
