Julian Siegel has won international acclaim with his own quartet, his New York trio and with the band he's co-led for 20 years, Partisans. Less well-known is his work with big bands even though he has performed with those of Andrew Hill, Kenny Wheeler and Hermeto Pascoal, and also with the BBC Big Band. In 2012 he wrote a suite for The Voice of the North Orchestra, for the Guildhall Jazz Orchestra in 2014, and more recently for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Julian's compositions will now feature with his own orchestra, a 17-piece ensemble, for the first time, featuring an all-star lineup drawn from the UK jazz scene.

Produced by Derby Jazz with support from EMJAZZ and ACE
